The Children’s Realm is one of the most popular areas at the ArtsFaire! Games, activities, bouncing balloons, and entertainment are all a part of the fun. The Peddler’s Market offers young artists a chance to sell their wares. Open to non-profits and for-profit organizations, the Children’s Realm provides a safe, creative play area for hundreds of young visitors over the weekend. Please join us in celebrating 40 years of Renaissance ArtsFaire fun at the Children’s Realm!

ELIGIBILITY:  Any nonprofit organization that would like to conduct a children’s activity or game.  Any for-profit organization that provides educational services or kid-friendly products is suggested but not required.  Activities/games should be arts related, if possible, but that is not an absolute requirement.  You should plan to give small prizes to your game winners.

SPACE:  Booth spaces will be approximately 10′ x 10′.  Organizations must provide their own booth set up and shade is recommended. Please bring any tables and chairs you will need.  The Arts Council will NOT be able to provide any additional seating.  Groups that complete this application will be accepted ON A FIRST COME, FIRST ACCEPTED BASIS.  Space for activities is assigned in the order requests are received. Our goal is not to duplicate activities.  If you have any questions about the suitability of your activity, or wish to know if someone else is already planning something similar, please call us.

TERMS:

Your booth or space MUST BE DECORATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RENAISSANCE THEME.

Workers must be in COSTUME.   Gypsy or Renaissance costumes are appropriate. Costumes may be rented locally and do not have to be elaborate.   Prizes will be awarded on Saturday for the BEST DECORATED BOOTH and BEST COSTUME in the Children’s Realm.

There will be NO ELECTRICITY for CHILDREN’S REALM activities or entertainment.

Food booths in the Children’s Realm are considered Food Vendors. (Please see Food Vendor Information.)

Booths and activities are to be open and available to the Public during Faire hours: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5 and 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011.  There is NO EARLY TEAR DOWN.

DEADLINE:  The DEADLINE for applications for CHILDREN’S REALM activities is September 9, 2011.  Spaces will be allotted on a first-come basis, so return your application as quickly as possible.
